Remember the small steps. Finishing a complete draft is a wonderful achievement but don’t forget to acknowledge and celebrate all the small steps along the way that help you develop your craft, whether that’s creating a character sketch, deciding on your protagonist’s name, discussing a plot issue with another writer, ticking off some recommended reading – or attending a workshop!
