If my body could talk…

If my body could talk it would say…well it’s dependent on the day what my body would say! Some days it might say, “cool you treat me as a temple today, feeding me fruit, vegetables, all the right stuff, wahey!” Just realised this rhymes totally by accident! Maybe I should carry this on, or just be done. Other days it would say, “no, please, not another cinnamon bun.

You seem to be all or nothing, drinking another glass of wine, or is that just to make this rhyme? Thank you today for the walk and hey, my mouth’s enjoying the exercise when you talk.

I love it when you do yoga on your mat. Oooh, my body’s so relaxed when you’re stroking your neighbour’s cat. Hang on a minute, why am I shaking? Oh no, it’s the third coffee you’re making! But I feel I need it after another sleepless night. That third coffee is needed to gather all my might. One…two…three…oh no, four wake ups! Oh ok, I give in, you definitely need another cup!”

My body also includes my brain, which sometimes feels like it’s full of rain, without containing any form of brain. “Oh thank you” says my brain. “Let’s do the wordle. Oh no, I only did it in 3 or 4 goes again.”

People say that the nights are long but the days are short. So sorry body, I haven’t given you much thought. My little bubba, can’t believe he’s already one, will before my eyes be eighteen and long gone. So sorry body, I haven’t made you a temple yet…but your time will come don’t you fret. Maybe in the future you would love a massage, relax and a lie down. Hey, I will even adorn you with a velvet flower crown. But just for now you will have to wait, for my bubba needs me, so you will have to live on that slight coffee induced shake.

Maybe I shouldn’t have made this rhyme, but now I don’t have the time.
